Are You're Interested In Getting Your Brows Tattooed?

What is Microblading/ Microshading/ Powder Brows?

The process of implanting pigments into your skin to create a more natural, fuller look. Although the process is similar to tattooing, it’s a semi-permanent that begin to fade over a period of months - years. It’s a fabulous way to look and feel great by enhancing the overall appearance of your face.

Microshading-Powder Brow is a procedure where a cosmetic technician applies semipermanent makeup to your eyebrows.

It’s a type of cosmetic tattoo procedure. Using pigment ink and a handheld tool, the technician shades in your brows.

This technique adds shape to your brow and uses a powdered effect to add fullness. The result is a filled-out brow.

Microblading Brows uses a bladed needle to apply pigmentation underneath the skin. The technician fills your brows by making hair-like strokes that look like natural eyebrow hair.

Healing Process
Ombre Powder Brows healing process

Immediately after:  Your eyebrows will look darker and sharper than they will end up healing.

Days 1-5: The new pigment will continue to appear darker, thicker and more noticeable than the healed result.

Days 5-10: Your eyebrows will look flaky and/or scabby, and start to flake off.

Right after your brows heal, it may appear that the pigment is too light. Your skin forms new layers over the pigment which can make the color look "foggy" temporarily. It will take a few weeks for the pigment to fully resurface, and this is why we wait at least 4-6 weeks before the perfecting session. After the first week, you will be able to wear makeup if necessary to cover any patchy areas between the two treatments

PSA: Please give your brows time to heal to see finish results. In order to get long lasting results you have to trust the process and practice proper aftercare!

FAQ

How long does this procedure takes?

It takes 2-3 hours depending on your skin type, brow mapping, and other circumstances that may come into play with the procedure.

Two sessions are required- the initial session, and the perfecting session performed 6-8 weeks after the first. During your initial session, your face will be measured carefully to determine the ideal brow shape for your individual bone structure. The shape will be drawn on carefully and measured again for symmetry, and we will then formulate the perfect pigment color. Your perfecting session 6-8 weeks later will last about 90 minutes.

How long does powder brows last?

Powder Brows/Microshading lasts 1-3 years. Microshading typically last a little longer than Microblading. Either way, a yearly color boost is recommended to keep your brows looking perfect. It would not be ideal for microblading/microshading to last forever. Not only do brow trends change, but gravity draws your eyebrows downward with age. Since these techniques  are designed to fade gradually over time, we can make adjustments over the years to allow your brows to keep a lifted and youthful appearance.

Does it Hurt?

These treatments are generally very well tolerated, though some people may find it uncomfortable at times. A topical numbing cream is used before the procedure to keep you comfortable. Most clients rate 2-3 on a scale 1-10!

How many treatments will it take?

Microblading and/or Microshading is a two-step process that includes the initial appointment and the perfecting session at 4-6 weeks. Both of these appointments are crucial for an optimal result. Touch-ups are recommended yearly. The following circumstances may require additional touch-ups:

- very oily skin

- previous tattooing or scar tissue in the eyebrow

- poor aftercare

- excess sun exposure

- use of acids or retinol products or facial exfoliation procedures

Can I get a cover up?

short answer is yes, If you had previous work done, I require a in-person consultation before scheduling your actual appointment to see what we're working with.

Can I tan?

Absolutely No sun, sweating, or tanning prior to the procedure or after the procedure for 10 days. Do not have a tan/sunburn on your face prior to your procedure. The tan will exfoliate taking color with it as it fades.
